The Long Road Ahead

I have to be honest. Compared to a lot of people out there, I am pretty damn lucky. God reached down from the heavens blessed me with a gift. That gift is the ability to see what others don't see. I can see intent in others actions, body language, and words. It is a blessing and a curse, sometimes it is better not to know. However God also blessed me in other ways. I have a great group of friends, a lil' more destructive than most, but good friends none the less. My best friend who shall remain nameless, is the iconic imbodiment of what a best friend should be. In the dictionary next to the word best friend is a picture of him with two thumbs up, no joke. He is considered a poker pro by most of those who come to know him, but he looks like a broke ass Al Borland. To say he is modest is an understatement. In the almost three years I have known him, I have never once doubted his judgement or his integrity. I have learned so much from him and I hope maybe he has learned a lil' from me too. Probally more "what not to do" than anything else. How does one show his appreciation for such a friendship? Well get back to that. I have also been blessed with ability to interact with almost anyone at any given time. A skill that is so ellusive to most people. One that I abuse on a constant basis. Despite my skill set, I've done nothing meaningful with it, absolutly nothing. No accomplishments, awards or even notable mentions. I have wasted my talent for far too long. Talent in an of itself means nothing. It is how you use it and to what end. I am going to honor my best friend the only way I know how, I'm gonna try to surpass him. Isn't that how a student honors his teacher, by taking his teachings to heart and using his experiences along with my own to suceed. It's a monumental task, but the great part of this is even if I fail and only become half the player he is, I'm still going to be a great player. He is that good, no joke. That is what this blog is for, to track progress and to help others. Also for me to rant and rave, discuss my PUA activitys, and share personal thoughts.
